    Caddis imitations are critical ingredients to fly anglers' arsenals. With over species of caddis in North America a wide selection of caddis flies in all stages of their life cycle is a must have. We offer a selection of caddis patterns with a western water focus and include many of our local and custom caddis fly patterns to enhance angler. I have been working on a better way to streamline the searching of patterns on my blog and decided that permanent pages are the way to go. You will still receive email alerts when a new one is listed, but the step-by-steps will be permanent pages that will be categorized. Welcome to the pattern database!.

      I recommend getting a good book of patterns. Two affordable paperbacks from Dave Huges come to mind: 1. Essential Trout Flies (this has a good intro/background section and detailed tying instructions) 2. American Fly Tying Manual (pattern recipes and pictures, divided by Target species, including SRC).   It was a good run. If I had had the wherewithal to continue posting through January , Soft Hackles, Tight Lines would have been in operation for four-and-a-half years. My first posting was 3 June On the whole, the blog has included posts with devoted to a historical account of specific, related dressings, comprising alm words .
